1862 Richmond rifle musket from the collection of the late Daniel D. Hartzler. Identified and carried by Charles F. Hitzelberger who enlisted in the 1st Maryland Infantry, Company A.
The 62 Richmond is about as good as it gets. It’s in excellent condition and has all of the features collectors wanna see in an authentic Richmond made rifle musket.
All 3 barrel bands are offset, brass butt plate, nose cap that’s screwed on, low hump lock plate that shows well, mules foot under lock plate, original (thin) ramrod and even the original rear sight is present and accounted for.
