Let’s talk about growing pains as a business owner growing through personal challenging times.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As - When you sign up for entrepreneurship, you also sign up for personal development. Ugh! Anyone agrees? Personal development has been off the charts this year!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been hearing a lot from people starting their messages to me - you are killing it! Yes, my business accelerated this year. I am truly in awe of all the successes I’ve had this year. Everything that seemed impossible actually fulfilled itself. You can't grow without making mistakes, though!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The challenges and failures seem to dim that light of successes, doesn’t it?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the past few months, I’ve made A LOT of hard decisions. Some of them included - outsourcing and taking things back from them, accepting my lack of expertise in something, letting go of clients that don’t align with me, saying No so many times. Plus, this whole year was just a big doozy (or should we call it an over-explosion of all the personal challenges?). All of that affected my self-worth exponentially.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once I slowed down, with all of that came also a lot of clarity and a lot of lessons:
- My big why - helping business owners growing with ease and expand their revenue by taking their big visions and reverse engineer them into small steps. For me right now, that looks like providing social media marketing services, but the avenues are endless.
- I cannot help every single business, nor do I want to.
- I am in the middle of refining my services and making what works right now even better instead of creating new offers. Intention over scalability is where I am at right now.
- Saying yes to every single client is a form of people-pleasing which is a form of manipulation (tough pillow to swallow). It doesn’t serve anyone.
- Mental health is more important than grind and hustle.
