The process to expunge misdemeanor offenses became law in 2017 when the Montana Legislature approved House Bill 168, limiting it to those without other convictions for five years since completing their sentence and those who aren’t detained or facing charges.

An expungement clinic, hosted by the Montana Legal Services Association, will be in Bozeman in March to help those with prior misdemeanor convictions to expunge their records.

As of Thursday, Montana users can continue to access TikTok though the app’s future remains uncertain.
