Day 4 of our 12 Days of Hope is brought to you by Landmark Engineering, Inc. highlighting the ministry of Bowling Green Area Young Life . Young Life exists to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. They accomplish their mission by praying for young people, and going where kids are and building personal relationships with them. They offer mentorship, seasonal camps, Bible studies, and fun activities to bring kids the gospel message. The unique part is they are on the local schools campus to stay connected to their students through out the week. Young Life leaders also have the availability to minister to students wherever they are, whether it's a restaurant, ball game, church, or park.

Day 3 of 12 Days of Hope, we are showcasing the ministry of Orphan No More Foundation thanks to the generosity of Arrow Safety of Glasgow.

Many parents desire to adopt. The cost of an adoption can be a burden that many parents can’t carry. Orphan No More’s desire is to lighten that burden. They also support current and former foster kids. Many of whom leave the foster system without the familial support that most other kids have which significantly decreases their odds of success in the next stage of life.

We believe that the church is responsible for helping orphaned children find families. Our desire is to capture great stories to share with the church as an invitation to join in the effort to help kids without parents become “orphans no more”.

It's Day 1 of 12 Days of Hope! Today we are bringing you the stories of God at work in the ministry of Pieces Of Hope Movement and Memory Center Bowling Green thanks to the generous partnership of Don Bratcher, Financial Advisor, Bratcher Financial Group. Pieces of Hope is a movement and memory center for those coping with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s or special needs issues. They offer individualized programs to keep bodies active with fun activities focused on strength training, non-contact boxing, and fine motor skills.

Jill Steffey, director and instructor has been a long-time CFR family member. Her heart for the mission of Pieces of Hope is a personal one, beginning with her journey alongside her Father who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. She has the expertise and first hand knowledge for almost anything related to Parkinson’s and dementia allowing Jill to give the best care possible.

The CFR Story

In 1984, Warren County grain farmer James Chapman took his kids out west and heard Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) for the first time, and immediately fell in love with it. When the Chapman family returned home to Warren County, James felt called to pray for a CCM radio station to come to south central Kentucky. With fervent and dedicated prayer, James spent the next two years helping found Christian Family Radio by forming a steering committee, applying to the Federal Communications Commission, and finally, helping the organization sign on for its first broadcast in 1986. Over 30 years later, CFR is broadcast on three different FM radio stations in Kentucky, and to more than 125 countries via live stream.

For more than 30 years, CFR has been on a mission to share all the stories of what God is doing in their community and how lives are being changed. Bridget says that “the mission is to showcase God’s glory through the story. We tell that story continually, keeping it current…it should be vital, vibrant, alive, and well-displayed.”
