UPDATE: 10:30 am: I-65 southbound near the 9 mile marker has fully reopened and the traffic queue has cleared. I-65 had been blocked due to a multi-vehicle crash involving semi-trucks. The detour has been taken down.

UPDATE 9 am: The crash scene is now clear, but cleanup continues. Traffic will begin moving slowly through the area on I-65. It will take a while for the queue to clear and traffic to get up to speed.

UPDATE 7:30 am: I-65 southbound remains blocked near the 9 mile marker due a crash involving multiple semi-trucks. Motorists are being detour at exit 20 to I-165 to US 31-W.

UPDATE 5:30 am: The road is expected to remain blocked for several hours following a crash involving multiple semi-trucks.

TRAFFIC ALERT: I-65 southbound near the 9 mile marker is blocked due to a crash. Traffic is beginning to backup. Motorists should seek an alternate route.
