The Louisiana Middle School held its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on November 12th. The ceremony included guest speaker John Moran (USMC Veteran) and performances from Louisiana Elementary School's 3rd grade.

On Friday night, the Bowling Green Bobcats faced off against Jefferson (Festus) in the district semi-finals. The Bobcats effortlessly clinched their place in the district championship with a 60-12 victory over Jefferson. The district championship will be held on Friday, November 15th, in Hermann. Good luck Bobcats! 🏈

The Van-Far Indians won today against Hayti with a final score of 54-6. They move on to district semifinal at Perryville against St. Vincent on Saturday November 16th.

Bowling Green senior, Sydney Charlton signed with Kaskaskia College today to continue her softball and educational career.
Sydney said she intends to major in Ultrasound and X-ray.

The Louisiana Bulldogs hosted Senior Night with their final home game of the season, facing off against Montgomery County. Despite battling hard throughout the game, the Bulldogs fell with a final score of 14-32.

We will be celebrating our FFA Ag Issues NATIONAL CHAMPIONS with a parade tomorrow, Saturday, October 26th as the team returns from FFA National Convention. We would love to see the community line the streets of Silex to welcome them home! They will be escorted by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department. Their expected arrival is between 4:00-4:30 p.m. on Saturday. If this changes, we will update the Silex School page with information. This is a huge accomplishment and we want to celebrate them in a BIG way! All community members are encouraged to attend! We hope to see you there! 💙💛🙌
