MEET THE WORKSHOP FACILITATORS - Judee Oldham and Janet Jacobs

Judee Oldham (left) retired from her 28-year career as a school counselor with the Boulder Valley Schools over fifteen years ago. Since that time she has explored many avenues including hospice training, studying Spanish, volunteering for several organizations and working for the family business. Four years ago she participated in a three-year program with the One Spirit Learning Alliance in New York City and received her certification in Interspiritual Counseling in June of 2016. Much of her energy is focused on her family. She has two sons, a daughter and 5 active grandchildren. She is passionate about helping people use their inner wisdom to guide them during the part of their life that goes by many names including second adulthood, the time of the sage or conscious elder-hood.

Janet Jacobs (right) has reinvented herself several times during her adult life. She began her career as a junior high school math teacher. After doing pioneering agriculture work in Paraguay, she worked for 35 years as a massage therapist and simultaneously taught yoga for 20 years. Most recently she sells Medicare insurance and also plays an active in role in her family business, Reptile Gardens in Rapid City, SD. Janet became interested in how to approach the second half of life a number of years ago when she realized she was no longer a kid. She has two daughters and one son and is a proud grandmother of three boys, one of whom has special needs.
