🛠️ If you’ve got to climb a 225-foot-tall radio tower, this isn’t a bad day to do it 🛠️

Thanks for bearing with us as we changed the light bulb at the top of our AM tower this morning! We’ll be back on the air in time for our normal Friday afternoon programming, including with Mainstream Lunar Lounge at 2pm and a special Local Shakedown with at 3 📻

(Swipe to the last pic to see tower climber Bill Rex with the special fancy bulb! They’re specifically designed to be larger, brighter, and stand up to the cold and heat outside, so we only have to get a visit from Bill every few years.)💡

We’ll be off the AM airwaves for a few hours this Friday morning to replace the light bulb at the top of our transmitter tower in South Boulder! (Don’t want any planes to hit us.) We’ll be back on air in the afternoon in time for Local Shakedown and Circling Girl, but in the meantime, stream online at http://1190.radio.
