Let me be clear- Iām not saying to not eat healthy. I still eat very healthy. š šš³ā£

But the big difference is that no food is off limits and Iām not following anyone elseās prescribed list of foods or diet rules. ā£

š¦The impact is that Iāve lost and maintained over 50 lbs, I recovered from bulimia and feeling out of control with food, I donāt spend any of my precious time on this planet researching what to eat or not eat to lose weight, and so many of the foods I used to binge on can be left in my pantry and fridge for monthsā¦ the list goes on and on. ā£

When I was younger and my dad would question me (love you, Dad, andā¦) I didnāt know what to say.
I just felt shame.
I would put the food away and feel hungry and then ravenous for dinner and would stuff my face. Seconds, thirds, dessertā¦ in a frenzy. A panic.
As I got older- it would start I fight because Iād resist. And then Iād emotionally eat because of the anxiety from THAT.
Today as an adult with lots of communication skills- I actually just laugh.
Thatās the best that Iāve got.
Because Iāve expressed my truth in a calm way enough times and the fact that it STILL comes up- truly all I can do is laugh.
Because I know itās not about me. Itās about the other person.
A lot of times theyāre projecting THEIR desire to save up so they can splurge.
They donāt want to spoil THEIR appetite. And not just appetite- their justification to overeat.
And let me just say- I have nothing against this. Nothing against overeating. And being strategic about it.
Iām actually doing a version of that today. Iām strategically eating a little bit smaller of a breakfast and will likely have a smaller dinner.
But Iām not planning on stuffing myself. And I know that if I donāt eat breakfast- I will go back to the old pattern of justifying binging. And/or my BODY will DRIVE me to overeat.
So yes, darling. Iām eating breakfast this morning. And Iāll be having lunch at around noon like usual.
Itās an āall you CAN eatā buffet ā¦
Not an āall you MUST eat.ā

Not only is it not necessary to cut out all your favorite foodsā¦ it actually CAUSES weight regain. (I mean, food allergies is one thing) but when itās restriction just to lose weight - it doesnāt have to be this way.
Trust me- I tried to eat perfectly clean for soooo many years. Now Iām 50 lbs down, maintained it for well over 10 years, and Iām eating WAY more foods and NOT perfect at all.
