Boston Friends! TODAY starting at 1:45pm at New England Aquarium Simons Theatre - our MA premiere of OUR TURN TO TALK with Scout Film Festival! A special keynote with the film's very own Anastasia Vlasova, an incredible youth mental health advocate who will be talking about digital wellness and unleashing your creativity. Join Anastasia + Director/Producer/Writer Beth Murphy for a Q+A following.

About the film: When Anastasia was a high school she learned that storytelling saves lives. That inspired her to start a podcast to share the hardship, hope and transformation she and other teens have gone through navigating the downs and ups of their mental health journeys.

Real, raw, and life-affirming, OUR TURN TO TALK comes at a time when it's needed most. It's become a defining film, podcast and impact campaign to normalize conversations around mental health, reduce stigma, and grown the youth mental health movement.

On Episode 8 of Our Turn To Talk we met Aliyah.
~
One of the reasons Aliyah is confident about sharing her mental health story is because of actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who has been honest about getting help for depression as a teenager.
~
So, shout out to the rock for being an advocate and helping people like Aliyah own their story. 🗣

What happened last week was a shadow within our society coming to light. Although it felt like the government took away human rights overnight, these ideas are deeply embedded within the system. They have been plotting this for awhile now, but it has been put into action.
We speak in solidarity to the women who will be affected by this, and hope we rise together to change a system that is corrupt and unjust.

It's so important to have conversations about mental health with each other and our kids and OUR TURN TO TALK can help.
At Principle Pictures, we're working to destigmatize mental health challenges and to help start important conversations in homes, schools and communities. Young people are part of a new generation that's had enough with the stigma and shame. Let's join them in helping everyone understand: mental health IS health.
