We might be in the middle of winter, but it's never too early or too late to clean up your social media accounts. Yes, it's still important even if you are pivoting away from social media more these days. This week's tip is take time to review all of your profiles. Every social media site. This includes Google, Yelp, and any directories your business is on.

*Check your About section, make sure you don't have anything outdated and that the About sections on all your sites match as closely as possible.
*Make sure your contact information is current, including website and physical address (if applicable.)
*Check hours of operation.
*While you're at it, is your email signature line current?

SATURDAY READS: Have you heard of the "Envelope Budget?" I found this article quite interesting. https://fortune.com/article/envelope-budget-how-to/ Basically you separate your cash and put it in envelops and pay bills etc that way. Obviously it's more difficult to do with mortgages and some other bills. However, it has me thinking about the ridiculous fees small businesses accrue because people pay with credit. Many businesses will charge you more to cover their costs, and they should not have to do that. I'm going to try and have more cash on hand when I go to small shops and local businesses and pay that way.

Wayback Wednesday to one week ago! It was really nice to have another business open up in my town, and just a short walk down the hill from my house! The Menagerie is the cutest little jewelry shop! They are also a member of the Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce, nice to have another member in the area.

TIP TUESDAY: Time to reevaluate all of your marketing. There is a LOT of crazy happening right now. All of the changes in social media are showing us something important- we cannot rely on these sites as our sole means of marketing, promoting, or selling. Honestly we never could. If you're not sure what to do, I'm available for consulting and brainstorming. I want you to succeed!

TIP TUESDAY: Streamline scheduling: Use a calendar service to take out the back-and-forth in scheduling appointments. I use Calendly. Super simple and inexpensive based on how heavy appointments are in your business. It links to your own calendar, and all you have to do is set up your parameters and share/embed the link!
