Time is running out to double your donation for animals who been affected by the Eaton Fire and others like them. Animals like this sweet stray cat we've been calling Hope (A519243), who was found in the fire areas in Altadena. Her whiskers were singed off and she had burns all over her body. She couldn't walk due to the painful burns on her paw pads. She was scared, all alone, and needed our help.

She was rushed to our ICU, where our team wasted no time treating her wounds, bandaging her paws, and getting her medications to soothe her pain. She had inhaled a lot of smoke from being in the fire area, and desperately needed oxygen. Luckily, we were able to get her supplemental oxygen before it was too late.

Your gift today will help us to provide 2x the lifesaving resources to animals like Hope. Thanks to our generous donor, the Peggy L. Parent Trust, all gifts will be matched – DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR – up to $500,000 through the end of the month.

Hope's spirits and symptoms have been improving remarkably since she came to us, and despite her hardships, she is as sweet as can be. Even though she is in pain, she rolls over to ask for belly rubs when our veterinary team changes her bandages, and she's stolen the hearts of staff and volunteers alike.

Hope is one of the many animals that Pasadena Humane has taken in who have been affected by the Eaton Fire. Over 1,000 animals have poured through our doors in the past few weeks. Many who are in need of immediate, lifesaving care.
