"The" black locust tree.
..."I've been wandering on and on in search of..."
This is one of the things that I wanted to discover. Black Locust: hardest wood in north america (?), makes intense fire pellets because of intense density, bees love the blossoms, naturally rot resistant (150+ years), and grows like a common garden w**d from shoots annnnd directly from the stump of an elder, and is said to have built the war of 1812 (for better or worse). How did this tree get brushed under the rug?? Holy moley!
The wander continues..
