I’m sharing this work-in-progress to discuss keeping the big picture in mind. Working with graphic designer and branding guru Ian Bellerive of Albany, NY, my role was to animate the main character and text. Technically, I did what we set out to do, working to be sure the up-and-down animations conveyed gravity. Originally, as the outline of the face was animated, we were left with a bald character until the hat was animated. I lost sight of the youthful vibe necessary. By changing the order of the animation so that the hairline animates with the face, we aligned with branding guidelines. ,

With a love of animation and moths, I have combined both and am sharing scene 1 of a personal animation project. Bonus points if you know the name of this moth. Hint: It is the largest moth in North America.

Sneak peak at a personal project. Scene 1 of 3. I have always liked moths and drawing. This is my first time drawing my own artwork for animation. Moths are wonderful pollinators and a reason NOT to rake the yard since they cocoon on the underside of leaves. Bonus points if you know the name of this moth.
