Watauga County, the Town of Boone, and App State shared important information on the response to Hurricane Helene in the 10/1 joint press conference. Our Story

AppTV is Appalachian State University’s student-staffed television service launched on May 26, 2015. The station’s original programs offer something of interest to audiences of all ages and cover topics from sports to current events.

Students meet weekly to collaborate and create original content for the channel. For many students, AppTV is their first hands on experience with media broadcasting. However, faculty and staff from the Department of Communication assist students to produce content with a level of professionalism and excellence.
