Boonerang is thrilled to welcome back The Burnett Sisters Band, who opened up the festival a couple of years ago with a performance on the Doc Watson Stage at the Appalachian Theatre.

Bluegrass and oldtime music at its absolute best – that’s what you can always look forward to from The Burnett Sisters Band. Siblings Anissa, Sophia, and Anneli are each brilliant multi-instrumentalists who grew up playing together and have developed a distinct on-stage rapport that carries through each performance. Joined by supporting talent, including Geary Allen all the way from London, England, TBSB has a diverse repertoire that embraces bluegrass, classic country, swing, and gospel – all rooted in traditional music.

TBSB has carved out its place in the regional music scene – releasing critically acclaimed albums and charted singles, racking up radio play time, individually dominating the competition circuit, and gracing some of the grandest stages and venues, regionally and internationally. Any local already knows how talented this Boone-born band is, and considering its upward trajectory, this June is the right time to catch The Burnett Sisters Band in their hometown festival at Boonerang!
