With the beginning of the New Year we thought we would do a Q and A to help you kick off your New Year with a clean house or just any questions you would like to ask us. It can be cleaning or business related also.

I will go first with one of my most asked questions.

Question - How much do we charge?

Our Answer - We are located in Boise Idaho so our price is based off of our local market. We specialize in deep cleaning and we take that into consideration. We charge by the size of the apartment and how dirty it is. If we are deep cleaning for someone specifically we charge by the hour. And it depends on how big the job is. If I work alone or if I bring in a team to help me. So I can’t give an exact dollar amount on what we charge because it’s always going to be situational and vary.

Hi, 👋 Wal-mart items we use at every clean. I have looked to see if Amazon sells them and they do not. Amazon has similar brushes but not the Great Value Brand. You can also buy them online at Walmart.com

1. Great Value Multi Purpose Brush - Description: Curved cleaning brush for hard to reach areas , Long lasting nylon bristles, ideal for cleaning bathroom and kitchens. My opinion: This is my favorite brush. I buy multiple brushes so I can use them for different things in the apartments. After each use I spray them with disinfectant and let it dry.

2. Great Value Tile and Grout Brush- Description: Great tool for tiles in bathrooms and kitchens, Long-lasting nylon bristles, Ideal for scrubbing hard to reach areas. My opinion: I love the size of this brush. I have multiple different ones. It’s thinner and can reach smaller areas. I also love how the bristles kind of stick out on the end to help get into corners really good. Also one of my favorite brushes.

3. Mainstays Flour Sack Towels - Description: 100% Cotton, Designed for home and commercial use. Good for cooking, drying, wiping, cleaning and dusting. Machine washable.Size 28 in. x 29 in. My opinion: I really like using these towels in the bottom drawer of oven to soak up the drips from oven cleaner. I also like to lay them in the bottom of the sink to help protect glass shelves from the fridge.

4. Great Value Heavy Duty Oven Cleaner - compares to Easy Off Heavy Duty Oven Cleaner. Description: Removes tough grime on ovens and grills. Heavy Duty. Please read the label. This is a strong product. Wear mask and gloves because it will burn your skin. My opinion: I personally love this product for ovens. I think it works the best. Yes there are many different ways to clean the oven but this is what I personally like.

Hi, 👋 We get asked many times on what type of towels we use. Here are images of the ones we like.

1. Glass/mirror towels - Brand: AIDEA. Description: Microfiber Glass Cleaning Cloths, Lint Free, Streak Free Cleaning Towels, machine washable. Size 16” x 14”. My opinion: This is my favorite towels by far. I love them for so many different things. I use them on windows, mirrors, faucets/ fixtures to make them shine, stainless steel appliances, the front of microwave doors, glass stove tops, and the front of the oven doors. Sometimes on cabinets that streak really bad I use glass cleaner and these towels.

2. Purple Microfiber Cleaning Towels - Brand: WEAWE Description: Microfiber Cleaning Clothes, Ultra Soft Highly Absorbent, Reusable, Lint Free Machine Washable. Size 13” x13” My opinion: I like them because they are purple. They work great and I can buy them in a pack of 50 towels. I use multiple towels during each cleaning so I like them in bulk. They are very versatile and can be used on so many different surfaces.

3. White Microfiber Cleaning Towels - Brand: CARTMAN Description: Premium Microfiber Cleaning Cloths, Non-Abrasive, Reusable, Machine Washable. Size 16” x 24” My opinion: I like these towel because they are thick. They are a little bit bigger of a towel also. Since they are white they stain easily. However they are great towels. They can be used on many different surfaces.

Today post is on 5 more of my favorite products.

1. Sprayway Glass Cleaner - Ingredients: Aqua, Alcohol, Butoxyethanol, Propane, Butane, Sodium Nitrite and t-Butyl Alcohol. Uses: Windows, Mirrors, Windshields, and Other Glass Surfaces. Please see label for full details. We use this product in the kitchen on the front of microwaves, glass cooktops, the glass on the front of the oven, on the glass shelves inside of fridges, on bathroom mirrors, windows, sliding glass doors, glass shower doors, and many other mirrors and glass.

2. Sprayway Stainless Steel Cleaner - Ingredients: Alkane/Cycloalkane, Mineral Oil, Acetone, Propane, Orange Terpenes, Citral, Naphtha (Petroleum), Heavy Alkylate, Benzyl, Geraniol, and Limonene. Use on all types of Stainless Steel frames, trim, doors, corridor guards, kick plates, autoclaves, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, sterilizers and more. Please see label for full details. We use it on stainless steel microwaves, stove/ovens, refrigerators and freezers, dishwashers, and stainless steel kitchen sinks.

3. Clorox Tilex Daily Shower Cleaner - Ingredients: Water, C9-C11 Alkyl Polyglucoside, Tetraoptassium EDTA, and Fragrance. Use on Glazed Ceramic Tile, Shower Grout, bath tubs, fiberglass, shower doors, vinyl shower curtains, sinks, toilets and more. Please see label for full details. We use Tilex on Glazed Ceramic Tiles and on bathtubs.

4. Dawn Platinum Dish Soap - Ingredients: Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, C10-16 Alkldimethylamine oxide, Deceth-8, Alcohol Denat. C9-11,Pareth-8, Sodium Chloride, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate Copolymer, Sodium Citrate, and Fragrances. Uses for dilute cleaning of auto, tools, grills, paint brushes, and dishes. add 1 teaspoon of Dawn Platinum Dish Soap to 1 gallon of water. Please see label for full details. We use Dawn for refrigerator shelves, kitchen countertops, stoves, outside of stoves, kitchen sink, bathtubs, sink and so much more.

5. Pine-sol (Lemon Fresh) - Ingredients: Water, PEG/PPG Propylheptyl ether, C10-12 alcohol ethoxylates, sodium secondary C13-18 alkyl sulfonate, fragrance, citric acid, xanthan gum and colorant.

Today’s post is some of my favorite Zep Products and what we use them for.

1. Zep Commercial Quick Clean Disinfectant - Ingredients: Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chlorides. This product is intended for non porous surfaces and can be used on multiple surfaces such as stainless steel, glass, glazed porcelain, plastic, sealed granite, and sealed stone. It can be used in kitchens, bathrooms, nursery, day care centers, schools, gyms and many other facilities. Please see label for full details. We personally use it in the kitchen on the inside of freezers, inside the fridge, inside the microwave and on the countertops to disinfect. In bathrooms we use in on the outside of the toilet and countertops. We also use it on doors k***s light switches and doors handles. Places that need disinfectant. The directions say to allow product to sit for 2 minutes visibly wet then rinse with water if in direct contact with food.

2. Zep Acidic Toilet Bowl Cleaner - Ingredients: Hydrochloric acid and sulfamic acid. This product is used for toilet bowls and urinals. Not used for sinks, bathtubs, countertops, floors or any enameled surfaces. Apply under rim and around sides. Allow to sit a minimum of 5 minutes. Please see label for full details. We only use it on really dirty toilet with bad stains. We typically let it soak for about an hour or longer.

3. Zep Hardwood and Laminate Floor Cleaner - Ingredients: d-Limonene, Geraniol. This product can be used on Vanish, acrylic and polyurethane-finished wood, laminate floors, baseboards, cabinet doors and crown molding. Please see label for full details. We use this on Hardwood and laminate floors.

4. Zep Purple Degreasers- Ingredients: Butoxyethanol, Acetaldehyd. This product is used for heavy machinery, engine parts, garages, construction equipment, fiberglass, unfinished concrete, masonry and asphalt. Dilute 5 fluid ounces per gallon of water. Always test a small area first. Please see label for full detail.
I advise you use the product as recommended, although my personal approach may differ. We like to use it on oily cabinets and stoves heavily diluted because it works very fast. We also rinse it very thoroughly with water.

Here are a few products we use.

1. Germicidal bleach - Ingredients: has a concentrate level of 7.4-8.25% sodium hypochlorite versus regular household bleach of 5 - 6% sodium hypochlorite.
It can be used for multiple purposes. Floors, Walls, Vinyl, Kitchens, Bathrooms. Please see label for more details.
We chose to use Germicidal Bleach to give the highest level of cleanliness that we could. It’s something I only use in specific situations.

2. Bar Keeper’s Friend Soft Cleanser - Active ingredients: Water, Oxalic Acid, Glass Oxide Abrasive Glycerin, Citric Acid, Surfactants, Citrus Fragrance.
It can be used for multiple purposes. It can be used on Stainless Steel, Brass, Bronze, Copper alloys, Aluminum, Ceramic, Porcelain, Glass, and Corian. Please see label for more details.
We use Bar Keeper’s Friend for kitchens, bathrooms, glass shower doors, and so much more. It’s my go to product for so many different things. It’s my best friend.
3. Great Value Heavy Duty Oven Cleaner ( compares to Easy Off Oven Cleaner) - Ingredients: Contains Sodium Hydroxide.
Removes tough grime on ovens and grills. Rinse very well with water. Please see label for more details.
We personally use this product because it foams and works fast. No we don’t heat the oven. This product is heavy duty and should be used with caution.
