We’ll see more clouds build in on Thursday as the remnants of TS Francine head north out of the Gulf of Mexico.
Plentiful sunshine again today means we've got some great weather for outdoor activities.
Plentiful sunshine will continue this afternoon, with temperatures warming up a bit above average today.
Tomorrow will bring plenty of sun, low humidity, and above-average temps warming into the 70s and ow 80s by the afternoon hours.
It's going to be chilly stepping out the door this morning, so make sure to bundle up!
This morning will bring us temperatures in the 30s and 40s, but this afternoon we'll be warming up back into the 70s.
We got another chilly night ahead in the 40s. Colder spots could see upper 30s again tonight. Afternoon temperatures will gradually warm up the first half of this week, with rain chances returning by Friday.

A cold front passed through the area this morning with some showers, but it's all about the autumn airmass moving in. Look for a chilly night ahead with lows in the 40s, some areas could drop into the 30s.

We'll be cooling down again into the weekend
On and off showers will be around until around 11 AM Saturday, then we’ll dry out by the afternoon.
Today is going to be seasonable or above normal temperature wise, and tomorrow cold air will funnel in from the northwest.
Today's temperatures will be warming up into the upper 70s today, and tomorrow we'll drop by more than 10 degrees, into the low 60s.
High pressure will remain in control tonight, keeping us cool and dry. We look mostly clear tonight with low temps in the 40s and 50s.

Late week will bring more pleasant weather
Thursday will bring a mix of sun and clouds, and besides a very spotty shower or two, we look mainly dry and quiet.
Cloud cover will limit heating a bit today, and we're also going to be a bit breezy. This will result in the most fall-like weather we've seen all week.

Wednesday will bring more cloud cover as easterly wind flow brings in some moisture from the Atlantic, but rain chances should stay slim to none.

The next few days will be perfect outdoor weather, so it may be a good idea to start prepping the yard for fall weather.
High pressure builds in to our north, bringing cooler temperatures and drier dew points.
Tomorrow will bring a mix of sun and PM clouds, and we should stay dry and comfortable. Highs tomorrow will be a bit below-normal, in the upper 60s-low 70s for most.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following county, Tazewell. * WHEN...Until 645 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 414 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Little Horsepen Creek, Dry Fork and Mud Fork. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Tiptop... -
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Giles and Monroe counties until 7:30 PM. Heavy rainfall and winds gusts of 60 mph or more are possible with this storm, as it moves southeast of Pearisburg at 10 mph.
We'll see a brief break from the storms around sunset, but scattered thunderstorms will continue to be possible into the overnight hours. Stay weather aware!

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Tazewell County until 7:45 PM.
Additional amounts of up to 2 inches of rain possible in the next hour. Flash Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Some locations impacted include Tazewell and Richlands
A Flood Advisory has been issued for southern Greenbrier County. Minor flooding in low-lying areas and poor drainage areas is possible, as up to 2 inches of rain has fallen within the last hour.
Some locations include Lewisburg, Ronceverte, and White Sulphur Springs.

Are you smelling smoke in the air tonight? You're not imagining it. Strong southerly winds are carrying in smoke from wildfires to our south and west tonight. As rain develops and this cold front moves in, it should help clear it out into tomorrow.
