Mrs. Claus is coming to town!! 🎄🤶✨❄️
We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our dearest Mrs. Claus for our last PEAKS class of the season. She started the class by giving participants some pointers on the “trying to be good list” to ensure they secure their spot on the Nice List by December 25th. Mrs. Claus entertained us with captivating stories from her time traveling, and she had us laughing until our cheeks fell off. We also had a mini photoshoot with her and sent personalized messages from her to the children in our lives.

After class, our fearless leader, Rhonda, led us in a holiday bow-making class. We learned two different bow styles to enhance our gift-wrapping skills this Christmas. 🎁

Jack of all trades. Or maybe a John of all instruments 🎸🎻🪕
Either way we had a blast at the instrument demo and exhibit. We had fun with this very informal style session where we heard about all of the instruments and their stories.

We also launched our Bring Your Own Technology workshop where participants were able to bring their technology and any questions they had. If you have any questions email Nola Chester [email protected]

There’s a little witch in all of us - Practical Magic
🧙‍♀️🪄✨
We had a very spooky time learning about the history and lore of the Salem Witch Trials. We got to learn the truth and debunk some lifelong myths of the era. Our costume party was an absolutely success. We had everyone from witches to goblins and cats to cowboys. Everyone who dressed up looked absolutely BOO-tiful 👻
Dr. Heather Welch also did an amazing job of enlightening us of the many facets of the local library. This is also your sign to go to your local library and get a library card!

Scrub A Dub Dub 🧼🫧
We had an absolute BLAST with Mrs. Nancy learning all about the science behind our everyday cleaning products. We were even able to make our own Room Spray and All Purpose Cleaner using the more GREEN swaps we had learned about.

We had such a wonderful time learning about the Camino de Santiago. Miss Sherry was so engaging in her stories and information about her experience. I think we are all ready to take a flight and start our journey. If you see a gaggle of PEAKS Pals on the Camino soon … don’t be surprised. 💙💛
