Honor Sabrina
The family of Sabrina Schnoor, along with friends and even strangers, gathered at the site of last week’s murder in Owatonna Sunday afternoon.
While many are mourning the tragic loss of Schnoor, they also came to work. They picked up trash, painted the bridge where a large number of graffiti had been displayed and remembered the 25-year-old woman who died of a single gunshot under the bridge. The area has been used as a homeless camp for an unknown period of time.
The Sherwin Williams Paint Store in Owatonna donated paint and supplies to get the work done. Volunteers gladly jumped in to offer their help in painting the bridge.
The Times took videos of the volunteers helping with the clean-up.
“I think it’s wonderful for people to step up and show there are still good things happening in the world even though there are sh*tty things,” said Kristy Denn, Schnoor’s aunt.
Family and friends also came out to support Stacia Schnoor, who is the mother of the murder victim and coordinated the clean-up effort.
The Times will have much more on this developing story in this week’s print edition as well as updates on the website and Facebook as warranted.
