Ok, here it is. Recorded in 1996 - 1997 right after Swans declared themselves dead. Gira focused on Angels Of Light while Algis Kizys, Norman Westberg, Vinnie Signorelli started a "rock type music" project with Kelly Burns and Dan Joeright. Never released in any way. Limited edition Oxblood and Black swirled vinyl. Hand-numbered and comes with an insert with notes written by David Thorpe.

Back in 1996 Swans released what was supposed to be their final album and declared themselves "dead". While Gira focused on Angels Of Light, other members of Swans started a project of "rock type music" under the name A/N. This project was recorded in 96-97 has never been released before. Big thanks to Norman and Al for bringing this to us. Limited edition of 275 hand-numbered copies on red and black swirled vinyl. All copies include a full color insert. Super busy and I had to add another day of dumb day-job work on top of everything. In a couple weeks I’ll be releasing an LP featuring members of Swans that was recorded right after the end of the band in the late 90s. It’s never been released in any form. Lacey has been putting together some design ideas for a live Residents album that I put a lot of work into so hopefully that one is coming soon. I’m also old and digging through 20-29 year old recordings of my youth for some very limited vinyl releases. After that some Bobuck, Snakefinger, maybe another Martin Atkins project….

1998 Nivek Ogilvie (Ogre / Skinny Puppy) and Martin Atkins (Ministry, PIL, Killing Joke, etc). First time on vinyl. This originally came out on CD only at a time when Skinny Puppy was supposed to be finished following Dwayne's death and The Process album. Thanks Martin and cover artist, Steven Gilmore for working with us on this one.

Update : We have vinyl test pressings on the way of a never before released project from members of Swans, I just got the Saff master back of a Charles Bobuck double album, and we’re working on artwork for a never released in any way Residents vinyl and cd release. More also in the works. Copies of Vincent Presley - Music For Low are still available! Here he is in the sun, proving he’s either not a vampire or he’s some kind of new super vampire.

Traditional joyful Easter. Both Secret Records and Tribulation (Those Poor Bastards) are trying out working with a label in Poland. It seems like you overseas folks could possibly save some money. If this works out they will be carrying our new releases so….

It’s Hardy’s birthday. These are just the two albums we have released out of his large solo discography. We’re in the process of putting together a pretty great double LP set of two more of his albums. More info on that later since we’re working on several things at once and not sure what order they’re coming out.

Coming next week! Only 100 made! - In July 2022 VP was invited to open for the band Low who specifically wanted "something weird". VP had about 24 hours to come up with a set. We think they got what they asked for.

This is pretty huge news in the world of The Residents. In over 50 years the group has obviously had many different collaborators / etc but this one has been a pretty important piece of the puzzle for the last couple decades. Secret Records will continue to support and work with both sides in any way we can. More Residents titles are in the works from us as well as Cherry Red and we look forward to new projects from Nolan and future collaborations.

A MESSAGE FROM THE CRYPTIC CORPORATION

The Residents recently came to me with an unusual and specific request. The group, as most of you know, is an ongoing partnership, with collaboration being their most cherished value. As they prepared to begin a new project, they reluctantly came to the conclusion that Nolan Cook, one of their longtime associates, no longer fit into their future plans. Fearful of the negative impact this decision might have on the musician, they asked me to break the news.

With sadness and regret, I informed Nolan of the group’s decision. Forever stoic, he took the news with grace, saying he had several other projects he now felt free to pursue and conveyed his appreciation for the nurturing and support the band had provided during their twenty-five year long relationship.

Thanking him again, I wished Nolan well, while expressing a sincere desire that his next pizza delivery job proves more satisfying than the last.
