It looked like Vanderbilt had avoided the road upset after scoring a go-ahead touchdown with 1:14 to play. It took Georgia State just 59 seconds to drive down the field and score the game-winning touchdown on this 25-yard reception by Ted Hurst.

Hurst's late-game heroics have earned the honor as this week's U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish "Catch of the Week."

Fans and media had questioned how quarterback Arch Manning would perform when handed the keys to the University of Texas offense. The heralded redshirt freshman emphatically supplied that answer on Saturday in the 56-7 win over UTSA.

Playing due to an injury to Heisman Trophy candidate Quinn Ewers, Manning completed a long touchdown pass on his first play of the game, then scored on a 67-yard run. For the game, he completed nine of 12 passes for 223 yards and four scores with no interceptions.

For his performance, Arch Manning has been recognized as the winner of the Academy Sports Award, Player of the Week.

It was a 4th and Goal unlike any other. Alabama, aided by a muffed punt, found itself in scoring position, until the mistakes piled up. With the ball set on the 31-yard line, Jalen Milroe dropped back and scanned the field, praying that he'd find a receiver open. And sure enough, he did. Milroe threw a laser to the back corner of the endzone, where Isaiah Bond pulled it in, to give Alabama a 27-24 lead with just seconds to play.

Bond's catch has been named as this week's U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish "Catch of the Week."

The Auburns of college football shouldn't lose to the New Mexico States of college football, but it happened on Saturday. The Tigers were completely dominated by a C-USA program that has lost over 60 percent of its games and had never beaten a Southeastern Conference opponent. Auburn's strengths looked like weaknesses and all the fans in Jordan-Hare Stadium could do was watch the Aggies move the ball effectively and hold the ball for nearly 40 minutes. Now, Hugh Freeze and the Tigers have to turn their attention to one of the hottest teams in the country, No. 8 Alabama, in the Iron Bowl.

Lindy's columnist Lyn Scarbrough breaks down NMSU's upset win and looks forward to the Iron Bowl in this edition of "Scarbrough's Take."

With the evolution of techonlogy, the need for hard-copy tickets has gone away. If you go to any stadium, you'll see fans scanning their phones, not ripping a ticket stub.

Lindy's newest columnist, Nick Brown, writes about some of his most meaningful tickets and how he maintains a connection to his late father through his ticket collection in the first edition of "Keeping the Coffee Warm."

Indiana and Illinois needed overtime to determine a winner of its instant-classic shootout last weekend.

Indiana took the ball first and kicked a field goal to take a 45-42 lead, which meant the Illini would need a score of their own to keep the game going.

Quarterback John Paddock didn't want to settle for a field goal, though, so he found his trusty receiver, Isaiah Williams, who was wide open at the five-yard line and jogged into the end zone to win it.

That catch has been named as this week's U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish "Catch of the Week." Read the full release here: https://www.lindyssports.com/college-football/big-ten/column/paddocks-pass-wins-in-overtime-for-illinois/557318/

It's been a tough season for Arkansas. The Razorbacks arrived in Gainesville, Fla., in the midst of a six-game losing streak and going to play a Florida team on the brink of bowl eligibility. Arkansas led for much of the contest, but found itself in overtime.

The Razorback defense forced a Florida field goal, leaving the door open for a walk-off touchdown. Quarterback KJ Jefferson found his receiver, Tyrone Broden, from the 4-yard line to give Arkansas its first SEC win of the season, walking out of Gainesville with the program's first win in "The Swamp."

That catch has been named as this week's U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish "Catch of the Week." Read the full story here: https://www.lindyssports.com/college-football/sec/arkansas/column/razorbacks-celebrate-winning-catch-against-the-gators/557045/

Penn State was on the brink of dropping its second-straight game, which would effectively eliminate the Nittany Lions from CFP contention. With less than 2 minutes to play, quarterback Drew Allar led his team down the field and connected with KeAndre Lambert-Smith, who scampered down the sideline to score a 57-yard touchdown, giving Penn State a 31-24 lead in the waining minutes.

That catch and run has been named this week's U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish "Catch of the Week."

Wisconsin and Illinois were locked in a classic Big Ten battle. Wisconsin, which had once trailed by 14 points, now trailed 21-18 with 27 seconds to play. The Badgers came to the line of scrimmage at the Illini 3-yard line and lined up in a seemingly normal formation. But it wasn't normal.

Nolan Rucci, a 6-8, 300-pound lineman, was lined up in as an eligible receiver. Once the ball was snapped, quarterback Braedyn Locke knew exactly who he wanted to get the ball to, connecting with Rucci in the endzone to give the Badgers a lead in the final seconds of the game.

Rucci's first career touchdown catch has been named as this week's U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish "Catch of the Week."

It's rare to see a college football game that has one touchdown bomb to put a team ahead in the final minute, much less to see that happen twice. Well, that's exactly what we saw last week when West Virginia and Houston battled for the first time as Big 12 foes. After West Virginia's Garrett Greene completed a 50-yard catch-and-run touchdown pass to Hudson Clement to take the lead with 12 seconds remaining, Houston's Donovan Smith threw a Hail Mary pass to the end zone that was caught by Stephon Johnson for a walk-off touchdown.

Johnson's catch has been named as this week's U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish "Catch of the Week." Read the full release here: https://www.lindyssports.com/college-football/big-12/column/second-final-minute-bomb-wins-for-houston/556226/

Alabama and Georgia seem to be on course to battle each other in the SEC Championship game for the third time since 2018, but the road to Atlanta isn't easy for either team.

In the east, Florida, Missouri and Tennessee all sit with just one loss and will each face Georgia. In the West, Alabama still has to battle LSU - a win for the Tigers could send Brian Kelly's team back to Atlanta for the second year in a row.

Lindy's columnist Lyn Scarbrough breaks down each team's path to Atlanta and the likelihood of another bout between Nick Saban and Kirby Smart in this week's "Scarbrough's Take."

Georgia Tech was done. The Yellow Jackets trailed Miami, 20-17, with less than 40 seconds on a running clock. A kneel-down was all that separated the Hurricanes from a 5-0 start, but they ran the ball and fumbled it.

Georgia Tech hurried down the field but needed a miracle to win the game, and they got just that. Quarterback Haynes King found his dependable receiver, Christian Leary, who was wide-open on the 10-yard line and slid across the goal line as time expired to win the game.

Leary's catch has been named as this week's U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish "Catch of the Week." Read the full release here: https://www.lindyssports.com/college-football/acc/georgia-tech/column/georgia-tech-shockingly-wins-on-last-play-reception/555925/
