Yesterday, the UFLBoard - UFL news and Discussion posted an article about Alex McGough re-signing with the Stallions.

The article included a supposed quote from Skip Holtz about Alex playing WR. This was odd given that myself and James Larsen both said he’d be playing QB, citing sources close to the situation.

People reached out to Mark Nelson, the founder of UFL Board and the author of the article, about the quote.

They also reached out to ask why the article appeared to be written by AI with a 98% probability.

It took TE Jace Sternberger leaking texts from Alex himself to dispel the false WR rumors.

Last night, Nelson quietly deleted a tweet linking the article, the article itself, and even his own personal X account ().

I suppose that’s one way to admit culpability.

Moral of the story: Alex McGough will be playing QB.

Oh, and be careful who you listen to.
