Normally, I’m the cave greeter handing out friendship bracelets and dinner invites. 🥳🍽️ Dane’s usual line: ‘Amanda, please don’t invite strangers to dinner.’ But this weekend? He was the social butterfly, practically handing out cave tour brochures. Who’s the extrovert now?

I'm totally digging this cave suit by Landjoff USA. It's awesome to shed the suit and reveal the clean clothes underneath. If I could tweak one thing, I'd slap a velcro pocket on the outside for easy access to my phone camera. Landjoff USA

We looked everywhere for a certain extension in this popular cave. We found all kinds of cool passage we’ve never seen before, but we aren’t convinced we found what we came for.
Respectfully, the map lacks a lot of good information, such as ceiling height. That would’ve been very helpful in locating our mission.

I went exploring not too far from home yesterday and visited a very interesting cave.  This cave has a vertical entrance, which typically keeps people out, yet every single formation in this cave has been broken.
There is a beautiful room full of stalactites, but now they are nubs, because people broke them all off. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. The little nubs still sparkling and shine, despite their brokenness. 
This cave also gets the credit for the most guano I’ve ever seen in my life. It felt like walking on a sponge. It was so thick!

Check out his long ear! Every now and then he would pop his ear out. We were super quiet and he was in the same spot when we left the cave.❤️
I’m not sure what kind of bat this is. Does anyone know?

We all have varying perceptions of what it means to be organized. One of us tends to be more conventionally organized, while the other seems to possess a magical ability to arrive with everything needed, albeit with a slightly disheveled appearance.

I’m not the best free climber, but I can hold on for dear life when I need to.Thankfully there was a rope in this spot. I have no idea how long the rope has been there, but I sure was happy to hold onto it.

The salamanders all died at the same stage of development and no one knows why. Some of us were here several months prior and saw them alive. Perhaps the tick spray on someone’s clothing contaminated the water of someone touched the water? Could the water be poisonous due to something in the cave?
