Thanks to everyone who came and supported our benefit show for True Story Brewing Company on Thursday! We were able to raise the money needed for the window repair! Thanks to everyone who donated! We had amazing art raffles, a doggie kissing booth, balloon animals, face painting and more! Huge shout out to Grace Willson for all of her hard work throughout the whole event and spearheading so many of the fun activities , Johnny, Stephanie, Day and Paula for their help with all of the activities and raffles, and to all of the amazing performers for donating their time and talent! Today is a big day…I finally got the pictures from last Wednesdays’s show edited! Over Seasons, Hans Gruber and the Die Hards, and Escape from the ZOO at True Story Brewing Company was an incredible night where the crowd rarely stopped moving and the energy was so fun! I don’t think I’ve seen people smiling so much at a show before! All the bands were excellent, Over Seasons new lineup with the addition of the horns is really starting to gel and the new songs are great! Hans Gruber and the Die Hards are 100% on go mode from the first note to the last! Their mix of thrashy, ska, and punk is unique and the energy is off the charts! Kurt and Rosey are both incredibly dynamic vocalists/singers and horn players respectively! The whole band are top notch players and one of my favorite moments of their shows is always the conga line set to a skapunk version of “Jump in the Line”, which is typically led by Danger as they conga around the room, bass in hand! My kids also loved the sock puppets and asked Rosey to sign them afterwards! Escape from the Zoo was last and they were just fantastic! The whole band were incredibly nice folks and their songs generally carry a positive message, or about overcoming obstacles in life. The band trades off vocals from Jesse, Veronica and Elliot and even traded instruments several times too! Their music also has ska, punk, and folk elements to it and the band were super tight! One thing I loved is that the band didn’t seem to take themselves too seriously and played with such joy and positivity which really translated to the crowd! It was an incredibly fun show that was emotional for lots of people on hand. Thanks again to all the amazing bands for coming through Bham! Part 1 of the photos!

Long post with lots of things!!We had an amazing time at Día de los Mu***os Número 22 presented by Rubio Law Firm yesterday! It was seriously one of my favorite events I’ve ever been a part of in Bham! This city is so cool and has so much to offer!
I’m running behind schedule but on my way to the monthly Wantfull Things - Tattoos and Cultural Artifacts yard sale where I will have some odds and ends and of course works by Gloria Aitken Art and I’ll play some music too! I’ve got a couple sugar skull variants left and after today they’re going away so get what’s left while you can!
We also have a date for the True Story Brewing Company benefit show and are working to solidify the details in the next few days! Mark down November 14th on your calendar, and if you’re interested in performing or helping in any way please let me know! We’re looking for raffle items, performers and just anyone who may want to help. The lineup will be a mixed bill of styles to help represent the variety of shows they have every week. We are also discussing some fun kid activities for earlier in the afternoon as well! Hit me up and always !
