'Our Little Sister', released in 2015, is a beautiful film directed by Hirokazu Koreeda based on Akimi Yoshida's Japanese manga series Umimachi Diary - Seaside Town Diary. Three girls living in a house in Kamakura know the news that their abandoned father has died. They go there for posthumous ceremonies and thus see their sister who was born to the father's second wife. The plot revolves around their life after bringing her home and the intimacy that develops between them.

Little Sister is a beautiful film that is slowly being told with beautiful views. The countryside of Japan is beautifully illustrated. It is these cool scenes in the film that add to the enjoyment. At the 39th Japan Academy Awards, she won awards in five categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Newcomer, and received critical acclaim at all film festivals.
