Reading Month Extravaganza Day 2: Riverton School Riverton NJ.
Today I got an early start. After the terrible drive into New Jersey last night, I wanted to start the day in less of a soaking panic.
So I arrived to find a parking space at 7:15, even though we wouldn't start til 8:30. I beat all the teachers there.🤘
We did three forty-five minute presentations, 1/2, 3 through 5th and 6 through 8th. All awesome. The kids were attentive and had tons of questions.
From there I had a twenty minute break. Mind you, it would be the only time I wouldn't be talking over a six hour span.
Right back to it. Lunch with a select group of 3 to 5's where after a bunch of questions we turned to a hilarious conversation about genies and wishes. I swear, I benefit from these visits as much as the kids do.💖
Next , a half hour of Q and A with the fifth grade, then a half hour with the kindergartners, followed by a half with the eigth.
Six hours after I arrived, I packed it all up to get ready for the next one.😉
Next up: James Johnson Elementary. Cherry Hilk, NJ.
It's rare when I have the opportunity to watch someone else read my book. This one minute and thirty-six seconds is the best one yet. The Psychotic Circus of Savannah rules!
Day 3 of my swing through North Jersey. Today: Cliffside Park Elementary #4. I think I signed a bazillion autographs at lunch. And would have signed a bazillion more. 😉 I was so excited that in this video I accidentally called my host Clifton instead of Cliffside Park #5 Elementary School. Whoops, sorry. I had a blast.
