BRP was very proud to be a sponsor of this year’s Corewell Health Charity Golf Classic. Funds raised during this event will go towards continuing Corewell Health school telemedicine clinics. These are positioned inside local high schools to give students an opportunity to be seen privately by a licensed master social worker (LMSW) via videoconference for therapy and counseling services without leaving the school.

It is with deep sadness and heartbreak we share the loss of one of our BRP family members. Austin was a ray of sunshine on the glummest of days. His smile and laughter will be missed by so many, although remembered for many years to come. Thoughts and prayers to his friends and family.

Austin Tyler Maneke, known affectionately to all as Austin, entered this world with a spark on July 26, 2002, in the charming city of Augusta, GA. Austin lived a life full of laughter and love until his light became a guiding star when he passed away on March 16, 2024

More growth for BRP!

Today, Governor Andy Beshear highlighted continued growth in Kentucky’s vast manufacturing sector as Big Rapids Products plans to extend its Montgomery County presence with a $4.5 million expansion that will create 44 additional full-time jobs.

“Our economy continues to see momentum, and manufacturers like Big Rapids Products play an important role in that,” said Gov. Beshear. “This is a great day for Montgomery County and the residents of Mt. Sterling. I want to thank the company’s leadership for their continued support and look forward to seeing years of future success here in the commonwealth.”

Job Description:

Title: IT Support Desk Operator
Department: Information Technology

General Summary:
Performs as front-line support for all system administration of users, Local Area Network, Local servers, workstations, and hardware. This includes responding to all help desk inquiries and care/management of all hardware/software.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provides onsite support for all desktop hardware/software, network connectivity, and server hardware/software issues within the Michigan region.
• Maintains inventory and documentation of all supported hardware/software.
• Provides IT support to other personnel throughout the company.
• Provides training to employees on new IT Systems/hardware.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures and completes the provided training.
• Troubleshoot and install network communication drops.
• Install and maintain devices including printers, scanners, switches, workstations, security systems, and VOIP systems.
• Implement policies and procedures as needed.
• Hardware and software inventory management

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• High school diploma
• Ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks at own initiative with minimal supervision
• Up to 2 years’ experience in the IT industry or in a help desk/training environment
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to troubleshoot problem documents, spreadsheets, etc.
• Customer-oriented and even-tempered
