Do you use robots for fundraising? 🤖
On the newest episode of #NonprofitNation, I talk with Steven Shattuck, the author of Robots Make Bad Fundraisers – How Nonprofits Can Maintain the Heart in the Digital Age, about fundraising trends, his book, and how we can apply time-tested principles of philanthropy to the modern technology available.

Nonprofits of all sizes are strapped for capacity, and often staff isn't trained in marketing, advertising, or social media. Sound familiar? 😉This week on #NonprofitNation, Chris Barlow of Beeline Marketing Solutions gives us the ins and outs of hiring marketing help. Listen in your fave podcast app! 🎧
About 87% of nonprofit CEOs in the U.S. and 78% of board members were white in 2019, according to BoardSource.
In a country where Black and Latino individuals and other people of color make up about 40% of the population, this lack of diversity is a major concern for nonprofits that provide services or advocacy primarily to communities of color, and among those groups whose mission is aimed at promoting race equity.
In the latest episode of Nonprofit Nation, I talk with board management consultants Christal M. Cherry and Renee Rubin Ross about how we can best move our nonprofit boards towards racial equity.

Imagine taking some of the admin tasks off of your plate so that you can have more time to think strategically - to plan - and even to dream!
It's possible.
Nonprofits of all sizes adopted smart tech during the pandemic - it was fascinating to see!
For instance, some food banks began using robots to stock their shelves during COVID-19.
In their new book (out today!), Beth Kanter and Allison Fine are encouraging organizations to see this as an opportunity to pivot to being more relational - not to get rid of people power.
What about re-training the shelve stockers to call families to check on them? To call donors to thank them? To call stakeholders to ask them what the food bank means to them?
Big picture thinking becomes attainable when menial tasks are taken care of.
In today's episode of Nonprofit Nation, I sit down with Beth and Allison to talk about their new book, the next chapter in digital tech, smart tech, and AI for nonprofits and social causes.
