THINKING DIFFERENTLY.

But, was that the right action to take back in 2020? I don't think so. Let me explain why. That same team positioned her for the empire deal; so, something was right.

The correct course of action would have been to wait for that opportunity after achieving success with Empire and declare her fee without engaging in any negotiations to accept less.

She should have clearly communicated her value. They would have either agreed to pay it or not.

In any case, her position would have remained strong vs. accepting anything that was presented to her.....which has gotten her here. . .dissatisfied with her current salary.

The Oscar-nominated actress said her team “had nothing set up” for her after the hit Fox series wrapped in 2020.
