Today, Victor Talking Machine Co. celebrates over 100 years since the birth of records and the modern music industry. The modern incarnation, formed from the ashes of the original, is a company that takes pride in its origins. The company has been brought back to the Camden, N.J. / Philadelphia area staying true to its roots. Likewise, the newly independent record label and manufacturing firm operates Victor Talking Machine Label Group, The Vault (a public archive/performing arts facility), and is a manufacturer of Victrola turntables. We pride ourselves on keeping true to legacy.

Unfortunately, that is a more complex issue than a ‘hashtag’ explanation is capable of delivering. Let me start by saying The Victor Talking Machine Co. is one of the world’s only full-blown ‘Music Companies’ - this means we do it all!

We make the music at our recording studio, we press the records, and we even manufacture the Victor Home Audio products at our music factory (the famous Victor Victrola® brand phonographs - as well as Victor Talking Machine Co.® Bluetooth Speakers, Victor Headphones and more) on which we HOPE you’ll listen to that music.

This would make us a little bit record label, a little bit music manufacturer, and a little bit music production company...thus, when you see the classic ‘VTMC’ (Victor Talking Machine Co. monogram) - you’ll know why we also call Victor - THE Music Company (VTMC); one of the only left of its kind in the Americas (if not the world)

The Victor Talking Machine Co. are all musicians and music fans -and we are architects of a new deal for fellow musicians and music fans. The Victor Company is built on and guided by the principals of the founding fathers of our industry; Eldridge R. Johnson & Emile Berliner (inventors of the disc record, record player, and music industry as far back as 1896 in Camden, NJ) and we believe rebuilding the music industry for the benefit of musicians and music fans isn’t just a business; it's imperative to the preservation of the art of recorded sound - and for the future of popular music itself.

Here at Victor, we’ve developed a system for the future of musicians in the tech-media landscape that has left them scraping pennies from their hard work due to egregiously poor streaming revenues and high production costs.
