For the past few years I’ve been working on what will be my new music studio up in the trees. The vision is to create a retreat recording and music creation experience. Artists will be able to escape the city life and stay up here while working on their projects, and in between takes, perhaps swim in the river, explore the endless lakes and hiking trails around, or cook a squirrel stew! My dream is to integrate music creation with nature immersion. Slowly but surely this beast is being built as money allows. I recently put in all the doors and windows, and will soon start on electrical and insulation. Endless thanks to all my amazing comrades who have helped with this project over the years. Soon enough we’ll all be rockin on the mountain!

Hey! Here’s a little peek into my mastering/mixing space, which I call the Owl Shack. I’ve had the pleasure of working on so many incredible records in here over the past few years. Every song and album that passes through these walls also vibrates with the woodland majesty surrounding. I’m very lucky to be able to work within this beautiful mountain sanctuary, and make a point to connect all of the projects I work on with my personal earthen experience here. I let the music show me it’s spirit, and guide me toward what it needs. Sometimes that’s a tree spirit, so I grab some cedar incense…or perhaps a river spirit, so I dip in the river before I start working…and sometimes it’s more abstract/complex, which I process internally. We become friends and finish the project together. There’s a bit of this place in everything I work on here. Hit me up if you’ve got an album that needs some special mastering or mixing! I also love hearing about the stories, feelings, and energy that went into creating the music, to further inform my part in the process.
I’m also available for recording projects, either here or at other studios. I’m currently building a new MUCH bigger studio space on the property, which I’ll post more updates on soon ;)

A few of the amazing releases I’ve had the pleasure of mastering over the past couple years. I’m incredibly grateful to all the wonderful artists and dear friends who have entrusted me with sprinkling the final magick dust on their auditory art. Looking forward to more mastering, as well as more recording and mixing, as we slowly crawl out of the COVID hole. I also have a few of my own music projects/collaborations in the works. Keep your ears peeled…
