Center Stage is the Downtown’s newest outdoor performance venue for live music on summer afternoons, showcasing the incredibly rich and diverse musical cultures in Berkeley. Center Stage will serve as a gathering place all summer long – Every Third Thursday, June through October, 4-7pm for live music by local musicians that brings people of all ages and backgrounds together to enjoy a diversity of
genres: Soul, jazz, classical, pop, and rock. Center Stage is produced by Berkeley’s resident dj Orlando Williams aka Dj O Aces, bringing high quality entertainment to Berkeley for over 25 years. Orlando has worked on many popular local festivals throughout the years, such as Berkeley Juneteenth, Sunday's on Telegraph, Eats Beats and Brews , Sunday Streets, Oakland’s Art & Soul festival, and Hip Hop In The Park. Center Stage is a space dedicated to enhancing the vitality and welcoming environment in Downtown Berkeley, through engaging the community with live music. The approximately 11,000 bart riders that pass through the station every day are able to experience performances by both established and emerging local musicians, creating a space where people want to linger and explore the surrounding shops, restaurants and award-winning cultural venues.
