WestMarginPress® is a growing publishing company based in Berkeley, California. Our roots trace back to Graphic Arts Center Publishing Company, founded in Portland, Oregon in 1967, which focused on luxe, full-color photography books showcasing beautiful places and striking vistas.
Many of those stunning photo books are still available today, but we’ve added activity and craft books to the mix to engage your imagination. In addition, our two imprints, Graphic Arts Books® and Alaska Northwest Books®, embrace Western regional subject matter, though many of our books appeal to readers in any corner of the country and beyond. Our genres span lifestyle and enthusiast categories, including sports, travel, nature & wildlife, photography, crafts, cookbooks, history books, and more.
Our mission is to connect readers with exceptional authors, illustrators, and photographers and their inspiring work in an array of books that nourish curious minds.
