Hey Berkeley Springs!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, and I want to say thank you for your patience. Life happens, opportunities get missed, and mistakes are made, but every step has been a learning curve for me.
When I first got into computers, it felt like my home away from home. Coding, graphic design, visuals, interactivity—it’s always been the most soothing form of art for me. I spent countless hours teaching myself everything I could about the web, design, and creating something meaningful.
At first, I struggled to get my footing. Selling my skills and connecting with people was awkward and didn’t come naturally, but I kept at it. The support from friends like Frank kept me motivated, even when the odds felt stacked against me. But after a year of trying, I burned out.
Then came Hobo’s Donuts—a project that gave me new energy. Building that community taught me more about people, business, and life than I ever imagined. Even as Hobo’s grew, I realized I was losing time for my own craft again.
After some reflection, I approached things differently, more confident this time. People like Mary at her restaurant gave me the chance to share my skills in a way that truly felt purposeful. I was even honored to help Angie Schmidt with her campaign. Working with incredible organizations like Charley’s Angels VACTERL Foundation reignited my passion for web design. Their dedication to helping families inspired me to dig deep and give them a site worthy of their mission.
I’ve realized that what drives me is creating things that help others succeed. Every business or organization I meet with has its own story, and it’s an honor to bring those stories to life online.
I won’t pretend this journey has been easy. It’s just me, working with used equipment and no outside funding. But I’m not ready to give up. I’m pushing forward, learning from my failures, and aiming for something greater. They say all that matters is getting the job done, and so far, I’ve stayed true to that.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way—it means more than you know. If you need any tech help, a website, or just want to chat, feel free to reach out here or through my site.
This year’s going to be different. I can feel it.
Happy Holidays, Berkeley Springs,
Stay tuned for something cool I’ve got in the works.
