SOLD! I have an extra fresh peach pound cake up for grabs. This is a smaller six cup size. Made with Georgia peaches, peach schnapps, real butter, vanilla, buttermilk, eggs, sugar and flour. $20 and it can be picked up tonight or tomorrow. 🥰

I just restocked my shelf at Uptown Retro with lots of new items and a sale! Wishing all my teacher friends a great year and I’m offering a 20% discount to teachers and school personnel for the remainder of August. Just bring your school id to get the sale price. Franciscan, Whitehall and Nordic Ware are just a few of the new additions.

Update - ONE LOAF LEFT! Every time I make bread, Scott sings “Bread dough risin” to the tune of The Doors’ Mojo Risin’. He has a long list of butchered lyrics. I should have hot bread out of the oven this evening, with that being said. Timing depends on the dough and how it chooses to behave. Speak up if you want some for pick up this afternoon or tomorrow. I’ll have six loaves and two are already spoken for. Happy Friday! 🥰

Some freshly baked items are being added to my shelf at Uptown Retro in Rogers around 1:00 or if you want to pick up here, I can set out for porch pickup this morning. We will be in and out all day so let me know ASAP if you want me to set something out for you. There are some mini loaves of Reese’s Cup Banana Bread, Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats (individually wrapped and heat sealed) and two loaves of homemade sourdough bread.

Reloaded my shelf at Uptown Retro just now. Homemade sourdough chocolate chip cookies are new today and so yummy. Some live succulents in vintage milk glass planters, kitchen gadgets, summer kitchen towels/linens, Fostoria glassware, Shawnee Corn King, homemade strawberry jam, a beautiful glass charcuterie/cutting board, Fire King Gay Fad bakeware and more!

Update- dinner rolls have sold out. We have three loaves remaining here at our house. Just dropped off loaves of sourdough bread freshly made this morning as well as dinner rolls at Uptown Retro in Rogers. Unfortunately, the rolls sold before they even made it to the shelf. I do have a couple more dozen at home. We will be in and out this afternoon, but can be available for pick up later today if you need dinner rolls.

This can mean only one thing. Sourdough is being made today, which means bread will be ready tomorrow for purchase. I’ll be making loaves and dinner rolls. If you have a preference and wish to purchase, let me know ASAP. These dinner rolls reheat and taste like freshly baked, y’all. So delicious.

Reset my shelf at Uptown Retro in Rogers with some summery Farmer’s Market themed items. I have lots more Corning Ware in the Spice of Life pattern as well. Shawnee, Fostoria, Fire King, Staffordshire, vintage linens, citrus juicers and more. And there are three jars of my homemade strawberry jam on the shelf, too.

I’ve restocked my shelf at Uptown Retro in Rogers with some red, white and blue, including Fostoria Jamestown, Blue Willow, cobalt glass, Liberty Blue and some bargain Fiesta pieces starting at $1.50. There are also some vintage embroidered linens as well. I’ve also restocked my homemade strawberry jam.

I have a four extra loaves of bread out of the oven about an hour ago and now ready to bag up for $6 per loaf and three dozen dinner rolls for $12 a dozen. Text, call or message me for porch pick up this evening. These rolls reheat perfectly for Sunday dinner. Scott Miller approved. 🤣

Playing with my dishes this morning and setting a Memorial Day weekend table. Everything on this table came from thrift stores. eBay, Poshmark or Mercari except for the napkin rings, table runner and flatware and flowers, of course.

Just left the remaining sourdough bread and some homemade strawberry jam at Uptown Retro, 1140 W. Walnut in Rogers, near Braum’s. There will be tax added to any purchases made. Bread was baked this morning and jam was made this week.

My version of Crumpet Tea Room’s Chicken Salad. The recipe is in the comments.

I ended up adding about a tablespoon more of vinegar and Splenda, three chopped green onions (white part and green part), more salt and more pepper. It still doesn’t taste like KFC slaw to me, but it’s pretty good.

Rum Raisin Oatmeal Cookies are Scott’s favorite cookie. I soak the raisins for a day or two rather than the 20 minutes the recipe calls for. I also add a touch of sea salt to the top of each cookie before baking. Please let me know if you try them. The recipe will be posted in the comments.

It has been a busy few days with cookie orders and stocking up Bentonville Mercantile. Let’s do a giveaway! Take a guess about the exact number of cookies that I decorated this week and put it in the comments. Whoever comes closest will get a Halloween cookie surprise for pick up on October 30th. I will announce the winner on Friday, October 28th.
