Serving adults 18 years and older.

Participants in the program are 18 years of age and older, who, through challenges associated with aging, are experiencing difficulty maintaining an independent living. The population could be characterized by adults who:
1) may have physical, psycho-social, or mental impairments and require assistance, and supervision.
2) may need rehabilitative services (including restorative and maintenance) in

order to restore or maintain the optimum level of functioning.
3) may require services provided by or under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
4) may be considered at risk for nursing home placement.

All the staff and participants at the adult day services in bemidji would like to say a huge thank you to all who took part in the duck race this year!! 🦆

Our lucky winners 🤩 this year were

1st place prize of $2,000 💵went to Ryan Pels!
That winning ticket number was 0009 and it was purchased at the walker adult day health

2nd place prize of $1,500 💵went to Hunter Schoenborn! That winning ticket number was 0359 and it was purchased at first national bank (main)

And the 3rd place prize of $1,000 💵 went to Tom Wagner! That winning ticket number was 0431 and it was purchased right here at bemidji adult day services!

Thank you to all the sponsors for helping us sell tickets and thank you to the community for taking part in our annual duck race to help support our facility! ☺️

Been a busy week at adult day in bemidji! Last week we had a blast! Throughout the week we’ve had volunteers from a youthworks program bringing kids from different states to clean up our outside space and our local northern heat baseball team come and wash buses and pressure wash our pavement! 💪🏼 🧼 and to end the week we met with our walker adult day health in Laporte for a cookout! Special thanks to Andy and his daughter for sharing their horses 🐴 with us for the day and to Laporte grocery for being so generous and accommodating hotdogs, buns, condiments, and water to make this all happen 😊 our hearts are full, we are so blessed to be able to share some fun activities with our participants and volunteers!! ❤️

We’re back for another year of the duck race luncheon! purchase a ticket (or a few 😉) at $10.00 a piece and receive a pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw, chips, and a pop! Thanks to bemidji Coca Cola for the drinks, Raphael’s bakery for the buns, luekens village food for the pulled pork, and frito lay for the chips!! Our luncheon will be open to the community on Wednesday june 7 (TOMORROW)!! From 11am-1pm we can’t wait to see everyone! 😊 and if you can’t make it to the luncheon for a ticket, you can go to any of our 10 sponsors for tickets as well!

As our adult day family is growing with participants we also would like our adult day staff to grow as well!

Hours would be Monday-Friday 7:30-3:30, we are looking for someone who is willing to work on the floor and interact with our participants as well as drive our vehicles 🚗🚌to bring the participants to and from the center

We had a lot going on this past week at Adult Day in bemidji!! On Tuesday the veterans were honored for their service with a KFC lunch as well as live music AND one of our staff, Andy and his daughter Della shared their horses with us for the afternoon and took us on wagon rides!! 🐴 on Friday, we took a trip to Cameron park and enjoyed the nice weather for the afternoon! We are so happy to have the sunshine ☀️

Adult Day is at it again with the First City River Duck Race!! this year the race will be held on July 30, 2022 at 3:00 PM! As always you can stop in at the program and pick up some tickets or you can go to any of our sponsors and get tickets there! this year we are lucky to have some past sponsors supporting us again such as Minnesota Nice Cafe, Becida Bar & Grill, Poor Wi***es, Backwoods Bar & Grill, Eagles Auxiliary, First National Bank Bemidji, Paul Bunyan Broadcasting, and Iverson Corner drug! We have also welcomed TWO new sponsors where you can get tickets, Jake's Pizza & Boutique on Fox! Make sure to get your tickets fast! We sold out last year and we hope to do that again this year!!

Adult Day Services here in Bemidji is looking for a cook!
If you or anyone you know is looking for a full time Monday- Friday job, send them our way! Hours will be 7:30AM-2:30PM, Monday-Friday, 401K & PTO benefits available!

If interested, please stop in at our facility to drop off a resume or pick up an application today!

Job Requirements:
* High school Diploma or equivalent
* Cook experience preferred
* Ability to prepare meals for 30+ people
*Ability to work as a team with other staff
*Ability to follow sanitation procedures
*Good communication skills
*Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods

Job Responsibilities:
* Follow recipe for meal provided that day
* Properly prepare ingredients for recipe
* Assist with planning meals for upcoming weeks
* Prepare breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack for participants.

We have been pretty busy here at adult day services in bemidji! Last week leading up to Christmas we decorated cookies🍪, got a little surprise visit from Santa🎅🏼, and celebrated with an ugly Christmas sweater day! Today, we got our taste of some live music from an accordion player🪗 and learned how to make flower arrangements! 💐🌹happy holidays from all of us at adult day services in bemidji! 😄

We can’t wait to have our annual hot dog luncheon! $5 towards a duck ticket for the first city duck race that is happening the first weekend of august gets you a nice hot dog lunch! The participants, volunteers, and staff have worked hard trying to make the back yard look amazing for our participants and we can’t wait for you to join us and take a look! All money raised for the duck race goes benefits our participants at the adult day program in bemidji, AND it could benefit YOU, there is a chance to win $1,000 for first place in the duck race, what could be better than a good lunch, good company, and a chance to win big?!
