It's a crucial question to ask yourself, especially if you have the dream of making a living online. You might think the key is to chase what's trending and try to go viral. But if your goal is to build a sustainable business by serving others who discover you through social media, you need to focus on creating content that helps them find you!

🎯 Speak to their pain points.
🎯 Solve their problems.

Sure, you can jump on trends, but I've found that authenticity leads to the best connections.

So, why do you post? Is it to launch a new offer? There are a couple of approaches you can take:

1️⃣ Timed Launch: Focus all your efforts on a particular week or weekend, with strong calls to action in every post during that time.

2️⃣ Evergreen Approach: Provide value over several posts (think 3-6) before you make a call to action. This way, your audience won't feel like you're always selling something, and they’ll appreciate the value you bring.

When you give enough value, people will enjoy being on your profile. But remember, you need to know why you're posting—who it's for, whether you have something to sell, and if this is your launch season.

The Secret Ingredient to Success: A Birthday Walk Reflection with My Daughter

Hey wait, I want to tell you something. This week, while celebrating my birthday with a special walk with my daughter, I had an insightful moment that I’d love to share with you.

During our peaceful morning walk, I asked her what it takes to be successful. With youthful wisdom, she replied, "Hard work and discipline." I nodded, but then I shared a deeper truth with her, inspired by our faith.

I brought up her mom’s incredible German chocolate cupcakes, one of my all-time favorites. I asked, "Maia, why do you think your mom makes such amazing cupcakes?" She gave a few thoughtful answers, but then I guided her to the real secret.

I told her, "Maia, it’s all about having the blueprint—the recipe. Your mom knows exactly what ingredients to use, when to add them, and how long to bake the cupcakes. With the right recipe and practice, success follows."

Just like in life, the blueprint for success is found in God’s Word. Hard work and diligence are essential, but they alone won’t lead you to true success. You need the right recipe, rooted in faith and guided by divine wisdom. Don’t stop until you find it.

I thought that if I studied for years and watched all the YouTube videos on the different subjects about the bible I would come to a place where I had all the answers.

Instead I have come to some conclusions about what are priorities. One may change their perspective about a certain theological question over time, but there are foundational ideas that hold the test of time.

Don't let what you don't understand keep you from doing what you know to be good. Helping the hurting still is a great use of our time.

I imagine that the hurting that look for help can wonder why we who name the name of Jesus spend so much time fighting with each other.

I hope that I continue to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior...but my prayer is that I spend a lot less time in my cave of study and a lot more time sharing my loaves and fish with the hurting and hungry.

When you have an idea in your heart but no apparent way to make it happen in your reality what do you do next? Do you complain to yourself or maybe to God? Do you ask why He never provides for the things you’d like? Or instead with curiosity and faith do you ask the question “How can I?”

I’ve been guilty of complaining to God in times past. This time I did the latter. I opened up a spreadsheet and listed all the things that I would need to make this dream trip of fulfilling my daughter’s wish for my presence at her school banquet and then attending a conference from the most influential mentor on Biblical principles of business and sales I have discovered in years, Myron Golden.

I relinquished control of the circumstances and told my Heavenly Father the desires of my heart. He provided miracle after miracle resulting in a transformational experience I’m sure I’ll be elaborating on for days to come. My prayer for you today is that if you stopped thinking that God cares about you and your dreams that you’ll believe again.

The weight of greatness

My father was an amazing man. So it was a daunting task to be his son.

I remember one time I had my dad look at an essay I wrote for English class. He tore it to shreds. Not physically…he edited it showing what was lacking. He had his PHD in English. He stood for excellence. I took the pieces and put them together best I could.

When I turned it in to my surprise I was the only one who didn’t have to redo the assignment. That’s because his standards were so high. When I would sing for church he smiled but would later explain that people would be kind because I was young but when I got older I would have to be really good or they wouldn’t be so kind again. He was preparing me for life. He was right. So I strove to keep getting better.

The weight of your parent’s expectations can be overwhelming.

As I look at my life now I must admit that I’m driven to attempt to do something amazing because that was the standard he placed in me. I don’t want to be ordinary…I want to be worthy of the standards that he lived by and upheld for me.

So while I may be disappointed that I haven’t attained to some of the great things he did as an educator, administrator and minister, I am happy that I can say this: I give what I have. I don’t give from the millions I haven’t made yet, I share encouraging words with those I encounter daily in person and online. And while I may as yet not have shared the stage with prime minister’s and presidents, I do pray everyday for and with those God allows me to encounter.

And the weight of my father’s greatness was too much for me to bear…so I’ve taken a yoke instead. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. And when I really think about it this would be what my dad would most care about if he were here in 2024.

When someone told me in my DMs that they wanted to drive from NY to meet me in person I felt a little uneasy. But when they shared their story I was blown away! When Cher was going through a very difficult season in her life Angel started sharing our Morning Prayers with her. This helped lift her spirits. They wanted to come say thank you for praying with them every morning. I'm so grateful to meet them and touched by this gracious gesture.
