Today is a busy day in Beloit! 🏙️

First, head over to the Beloit Public Library for the FABL Warehouse Book Sale. Find some new reads at low prices; proceeds go directly to the library! 📚

Have some Halloween 🎃 fun at the Fall Fest and Trunk or Treat hosted by the The Salvation Army Rock County. From 5-7 PM, put on your costumes and join in the fun with trunk or treating, pumpkin decorating, live entertainment, food trucks, and more at the Salvation Army Red Shield Center.

Tonight is also Teen Movie Night at the Beloit Public Library. Head over at 5:30 PM for a showing of Hocus Pocus! 📽️

Submissions are open for the 2024 Beloit International Film Festival! 📽️

Big Hill Park features over 190 acres of trails and forest 🌳, the Welty Environment Center, picnic spots 🍉, sports equipment, and more. Admission to the park is free, and the views are stunning!

Join the Welty Environmental Center at Big Hill Park for one of their Full Moon 🌕 Hikes next Friday, September 29th. This slow, guided hike 👟 is the perfect chance for local filmmakers to observe the wonders of Big Hill Park at night.

Participants will traverse 1-2 miles of the park in the moonlight!

A small town staple! 🎬

The Castle 🏰 has been an iconic part of Beloit, WI, since 1906. In 2012, John and Jody Wittnebel purchased the old church and turned it into a stunning performing arts center. The Castle has played host to the Beloit International Film Festival 📽️, the Rock Philharmonic Symphony 🎷, Doodles 🖌️, Miss. Andrea’s Dance Factory 🩰, and more.

This quaint, Film Friendly 📽️ location is just northwest outside of Beloit, WI. The farm and café , which feature a classic red barn and barn quilt, are run by husband and wife team Dan and Barb Beeler.

We were honored to help high school students write pitches for the Make48 competition, hosted at the The Lincoln Academy! ✍️

Local students were tasked with building a physical prototype, creating a sales sheet, producing a marketing video, and pitching their new idea to a panel of judges… all in 48 hours! 🤩

Participating in this event was a blast, and we wish the best of luck to all the competitors - the winning team will win $2,000 and advance to the national competition! 🏆
