This is Bisan. She’s a community organizer and journalist. Because of Palestinians like we are seeing the truth about the genocide happening RIGHT NOW In Palestine.

The ongoing killings of thousands of innocent people have been “televised” directly on our phones because of these brave souls.

This will leave a stain on the humanity of this world.

What did you do about it?!
Have you reposted? Marched in solidarity with Palestine? Wrote your local, state or federal “Leaders”?
Have you had a conversation with someone that has Palestinian roots?!

Today, things have changed and people have no more positivity to give.

This will go down in history the same if not worse than any other Genocide in our history. Not because of the volume, but because millions of us around the world have front row seats and have decided that even having the conversation or speaking up is too costly and taboo.

We will not forget. You will not be on the right side of history.

I am sorry we cannot do more.

One years' worth of work completed and distilled into 18 minutes. We were proud to premiere "Breaking Barriers: Rubicon Programs 50 Year Story" at Rubicon Programs gala this past friday at the coolest location Chabot Space & Science Center In Oakland.

Thank you to Rubicon Staff Annel Aguayo, "DC" Carole Dorham-Kelly and the entire crew that were patient enough to let us into their buildings and events with cameras for the past year to make this Micro-Doc happen.

Big shoutout to the best film crew in the game Visual Street Films for the hundreds if not thousands of hours it took to distill this project.

Great storytelling takes a village.

2020 was a powerful year. A year anyone alive will forever remember and share an experience. For us, reflection & action are two words that come to mind.

A global pandemic, social uprising, financial meltdown and a presidential race unlike any other.

California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, New York, Chicago, DC, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana. Paris, Barcelona, Madrid.

We filmed, we captured incredible stories, history and experienced some of the most impactful and beautiful memories to last a lifetime.

This illustration represents that voyage and honors the global community that is still experiencing all the effects.

Through breaking bread 🥖 and conversations, We have more in common than we realize.

It was a pleasure piecing this artist origin story for Yerba Buena Center for the Arts of Hasain Rasheed Photography. We love how Rasheed uses tintype to capture people and their stories of the ones who did not have a large enough voice at the time.

This country was built by immigrants and we should know their origin stories.
