A recent addition to the OGS Samuel D. Isaly Library collection is this rare yearbook from a one-room schoolhouse. It contains a roster of teachers from 1866-1940 as well as an alumni directory of living students who attended this school. The first school was a wooden frame building serving 1866-1876. The brick building opened for the 1876-1877 term. Originally known as Bryan School, the name was changed to Grange Hill School in 1906. It was located about 3.5 miles south of Mount Union (Alliance) along Alliance-Minerva Road (SR 183). Rosters of students from select years are included as well as anecdotal stories of alumni. Members of the Fairmount Grange Hall, built in 1911 about ½ mile north of the school, are also included.
