BE AWARE!
Hydrant Flushing Starts Today. The DPW will start town wide hydrant flushing 3/24/2021. During the flushing customers may experience short period or water discoloration or low water pressure. This is normal, and both conditions should clear up within a few hours. If you lose all water pressure or experience prolonged discoloration, please call the DPW at 508-966-5813. We recommend that you check your water before doing any laundry. If rust stains appear on washed clothing, special rust removing detergent can be obtained free of charge from the Town Clerks and DPW office. Please do not try to bleach out iron stains; bleach will set the stain and ruin the fabric. Flushing will begin in the center of town around South Main and Mechanic streets. Following are the streets where hydrants will be flushed over the next several days: South Main St, Mechanic St (near town center), Crystal Way, Centerville Lane, Mill St, Mendon St, Toni Drive, Jamie Drive, Edgehill Road, Brookside Lane, Woodside Lane, Northeast Drive, Rose Ave (off of Mendon St), Mendon Street, William Way, Bellwood Estates (condos), South Main St (Potter Dr to Blackstone St), Heritage Way, Potter Drive, Kennedy Road, Holstorm Road, Gateway Road, Flagg Drive.
