This fan favorite explores Mount Rainer National Park and how for the first time in 100 years, wolverines are back. How did they get there?

In the summer of 2020, there was some big news for wildlife in the pacific northwest. In the wild spaces of Mount Rainier National Park, a female wolverine was discovered along with two babies known as kits. It is believed that these tenacious predators haven't been in the park for over a century. The wolverines were back. This is the story of the return of the wolverines and the woman who searched for 15 years to find them.

And she is doing it all with the help of a simple cup of water. It's a revolutionary bit of technology called eDNA and it is changing the way biologists are doing field work. eDNA could hold the mysteries of a new frontier in our understanding of the natural world.

I've been all over this massive and spectacular state that's 7 times bigger than my native homeland of the UK, but this is my first time in Glacier Bay and I'm PSYCHED! It's a great story of ecological rebound that we'll be telling as glaciers become rivers and turn into habitat. 💚🌎💚

Biscayne National Park is not what most Americans think of when they imagine a national park. 95% of it is underwater. So to really get out into the park, we had to rent a boat.

This was an incredibly special day. In April 2022 I took my buddy Jason into the mountains to go and look for signs of a wolf in a place I just had a hunch about. The odds were against us, because there was only ONE known wolf on this west side of the North Cascades mountains. They’ve been obliterated by humans here and across the USA over the last 200 years. I knew the wolf could be around but never expected to find such amazing evidence - it was a sign! This week- 2 and a half years after that moment, we release our episode of ‘THE WILD with Chris Morgan’ podcast to tell the full story of these resilient and awe-inspiring creatures that will not be held back. Happy international polar bear day! I saw this beauty in one of my favorite locations on earth. Svalbard – Spitzbergen, a stunning archipelago in the High Arctic. I’ve spent a lot of time there, studying the delicate food chain that supports this massive carnivore.
