Remembering The Malicote's.
At 100-years-old, and nearly eight decades of marriage, June & Hubert Malicote passed away in hospice, holding hands, about 20 hours apart.
“As hard as it was, you could just feel their connection to each other and that they couldn't, they just couldn't be without the other. It was that simple,” Jo Malicote said. “Life was not going to go on without the other. So how perfect that they should go essentially go together.”
Gosh, I just love this couple and this family so much. What an honor and privilege to have met them and share their story.
Kudos to my talented photographer and friend, TR Gormley for capturing it better than I could have imagined.
May the Malicote’s rest in peace. Their funeral is tomorrow, in Hamilton.
