My two closest friends, from the Philippines and here in America, asked me what my plans are for my 40th birthday.
As usual, I said, ‘Outreach again.’
But both of them gently reminded me: ‘It’s your 40th. Celebrate yourself too.’

And that hit me.
For 10 years here in the US, every celebration I had was dedicated to helping others.
Maybe this year, for the first time, I will also celebrate myselfbecause serving others is beautiful, but self-love is also important. 💛✨
