How is your Snow Day going? How much snow/ice did you get? Feel free to share your snow day view.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is urging drivers to continue to avoid traveling through Monday in the heaviest weather-impacted areas. The heavy amounts of snow, bitterly cold temperatures and cloud cover will keep MoDOT crews working around the clock to clear the roads the next couple of days.

City of Belle is under a BOIL ADVISORY
Two Friday morning water main breaks have resulted in the city of Belle being placed under a BOIL ADVISORY until Tuesday, Dec. 17 at the earliest, according to City Clerk Sherree Burkholder.
"We are under an advisory not an order," Burkholder said around 5 p.m. on Dec. 13. "We have contacted other media outlets as well."
Water main breaks were located this morning on the corner of Bledsoe Avenue and Taylor Avenue and on Third Street. The town wasn't without water today, according to Burkholder, but the affected areas either had low or no water pressure.
Belle Public Works reached out to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources about the breaks on Friday afternoon and were told to issue the BOIL advisory. Water samples will be delivered to Jefferson City on Monday morning. Sample results take about 24-hours to be returned. The boil advisory is expected to be in effect until Tuesday, Dec. 17, at which time the city will updated the public.

Curler’s Lady Eagles claim consolation hardware at Eugene avenging earlier loss to Russellville

Leaving Cole County with consolation hardware and avenging an earlier loss to Russellville’s Lady Indians.
Those two things were square on the minds of KC Curler’s Vienna Lady Eagle basketball team Friday night going into the consolation championship game of the Eugene Girls Basketball Tournament against Russellville. “I’m so proud of the girls for the way they battled and avenged their loss to Russellville earlier this season,” Curler said.
