After a several hectic days of dealing with sick calves and mud I walked out to the coop to collect eggs and saw this! It was a loving reminder that Easter is just around the corner, Spring is on its way and Christ is risen! A tender mercy and reminder that God is in the details of our lives! No matter what your trial keep trusting, keep trying, God is with you this day and always!

This is a long overdue post to all of the people who came from near and far to our 2022 Focus on the Female sale and helped make it a success like Cody and Alaina Lucey, Bob Hubbs, Jeffery Allen, all of West Virginia, Katie and Tyler Spiller, Jennifer and Brian Cowdery of Ohio and the many, many others who helped support our program. Breeding Basics… how do we select a good cross on our cattle? There are a lot of factors that go into selecting a bull to cross on a cow but a lot has to do with trying to improve on any traits. It’s a busy time of year. Cows are being sorted and paired with bulls or selected for Artificial Insemination. The calves are also sorted for where the mother cow is headed. After branding, health check, ear tattoos, and tags the calves are sent back with the mother cows to head off to green grass for summer.
