🗑️Spring Cleanup 2023!🗑️

The Village of Beach Park 2023 residential Spring Clean-up schedule is as follows:

Saturday May 6: All Beach Park residential areas WEST of Lewis Avenue (including Cambridge Subdivision)
Saturday May 13: All Beach Park residential areas EAST of Lewis Avenue (including Mobile Home Parks)

• Please make sure materials are ready for roadside pickup by 7 a.m. Items must be manageable by two persons and no longer than five feet in length.
• All items that will not be collected are: automotive batteries, oil, liquids, hazardous materials, concrete, yard wastes, insecticides, construction debris in excess of one cubic yard and tires.
• Dumpster for appliances, electronics and tire drop-off will be available at the Public Works Facility on the same Saturday as your Spring Clean-up pick up service from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. ONLY.

All rims must be removed from the tires and a limit of 10 tires per household.



A paper shredding company will be located at the lower level parking lot at Village Hall at 11270 W. Wadsworth Rd., from 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

This is your friendly reminder that when there are 2 or more inches of snow, parking on Village streets is NOT PERMITTED until snow removal operations are complete. This is done both for your safety, and for the safety of our drivers.

STORM DEBRIS BRANCH AND BRUSH PICKUP
at the curb/parkway by Monday, August 16th at 7:00 a.m.

Residents are urged to place storm-related brush they would like collected at the curb/parkway by Monday, August 16th at 7:00 a.m. The Village’s Public Works Department will continue to collect and dispose of large branches damaged during the recent storms on Monday, August 16th, and end collection on Wednesday, August 18th. Branches should be manageable in size for the safety of workers and placed in orderly piles with the cut ends facing the street unbundled. Please be sure the debris is not obstructing the street or sidewalk.

It is NOT necessary to call the Village to report a brush that is ready to be collected.

Branches must not be larger than 8 inches in diameter. To facilitate timely pick-ups, the length of the limbs and branches should be left as long as possible. Residents will be required to make arrangements on their own or through a private contractor to remove branches or trees that are too large to be chipped by Beach Park Public Works.

Public Works crews also will not enter private property to remove branches or fallen trees.

For any questions related to branch pick up, please contact the Village Hall at 847-746-1770 during regular business hours (M-F 8 AM-4:30 PM).

Statement Regarding Illinois Expansion of Phase 1b:
The Lake County Health Department's goal is to get as many people vaccinated as quickly and efficiently as possible. Our greatest challenge continues to be the very limited supply of vaccine we are receiving. While we are making progress every day with vaccinating people in Phase 1a and 1b, at this time we are not being supplied with enough doses to expand eligibility in these phases.

Expanding Phase 1b in Lake County would result in our healthcare providers, seniors, frontline essential workers facing greater difficulty in getting vaccinated.

These phases were established after careful study and consideration, and are based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We respect the Governor's direction, however in this case, given our limited supply of vaccine, we need to make a local decision that will best serve the needs of our residents

Beginning the week of February 15, 2021, COVID-19 vaccination appointments at the Lake County Fairgrounds will begin being offered to seniors ages 65 and older who are registered in the AllVax system. Vaccinations of healthcare workers and others eligible in Phase 1a are also continuing at the site and through partnering vaccine providers across the county.
