Hi Guys and Girls this is Brantley, Jr. coming at you live from Brantley's Village Restaurant. It is a busy morning here - a little rainy here and we had a great crowd for our Breakfast buffet and we have our lunch specials all afternoon and my mom's class reunion is today at lunch time - lots of friends to see - and she is excited. Of course we are having our Seafood Buffet tonight starting at 5 pm so come on out and enjoy that. I would like to send thoughts and prayers out to Ricky Miller and Foster "Babe" Watts, who lost (wife, mother, sister) Deborah unexpectedly on Tuesday of this week. The family is holding up best they can but please keep them in your prayers. Important to remember that 9-11 is a day to remember all those Americans who responded and gave everything and their families that are left behind - often as time goes by we seem to put things behind us. This is not something we should put behind us , please pray for those individuals and their families and I can't thank enough to all those who responded that day and lost their lives. We will also have the MS bicycle riders coming from New Bern today on the 75 mile leg and 100 mile leg from. Officers are on the road but please pay attention to the cyclists. Stops are passed away on planned: from Hwy 55: Stops along the way are: RS 1 – Dixon Heating & Air, RS 2 – Pamlico County Middle School, RS 3 – Florence Whortonsville VFD, RS 4 – LUNCH River Dunes Harbor, RS 5 – Lou Mac Park Oriental, RS 6 – Arapahoe Free Will Baptist, and continue on the ride by crossing Oriental Bridge—back into the county, heading back to New Bern, A Great ride each year and raises a lot of money for the Multiple Sclerosis. If you wish to donate go to: BIKE MS: HISTORIC NEW BERN 2024. If you were unable to join us for breakfast, I would like to invite you to come on out to our Seafood Buffet starting at 5pm - Delicious! As an early reminder Brantley's will be closed for vacation & working on the r

Hi Guys and Girls this is Brantley, Jr. coming at you live from Brantley's Village Restaurant. It is a great Labor Day Weekend and the sun is out, not too hot, it is beautiful weather. We had a big Saturday morning breakfast buffet this morning and we have our lunch specials all day and we have our Seafood Buffet starting at 5pm tonight. We will be open on Labor Day, so don't forget that and come out and dine with us Breakfast, lunch or dinner. We will be regular hours 7am to 8:30 pm. Speaking of Labor Day, Labor Day is important to all of us and I hope you have it off - we don't and we look forward to seeing you. I would like to say thank you to all the laborers across our great nation. It is the backbone of our society and I certainly do not know what I would do without the great employees that Brantley's Restaurant has. Thank you all and Happy Labor Day. The Dragon Boat Race last weekend was great and more people than I have ever seen. They do a great job. This year River Dunes Community is to be commended on raising $12,000 that was donated to all of the non profits represented in the Dragon Boat Races this weekend. Great job River Dunes for your generosity in your support of the community and these non-profits. Today we have had the Pirate Jam going on. I just rode the bike up to the top of the bridge, yes believe it or not I could make it up there. People are gathering and are putting their boats in at the boat ramp and going to Teach's Point and the music is great and will last all afternoon. As always, a great weekend here in Oriental. Don't forget that Brantley's has in their new summer color Tee Shirts. Also I wish to again thank everyone for continuing to help us to fill the dry goods boxes here in our foyer supporting our local Pamlico Fishes and Loaves Food Bank. As a reminder Mon through Sat from 7 am for breakfast daily, with lunch buffets and our dinner with specials every night closing at 8:30 pm. Reminder to our visitors, local customer

Hi Guys and Girls this is Brantley, Jr. coming to you live from Brantley's Village Restaurant. It is Saturday morning and we had a great breakfast, a beautiful day outside, lots of lunch specials and of course tonight at 5pm we have our Seafood Buffet. I would like to mention that this past Thursday was the 6th anniversary of my father passing away. We miss him a lot and we like to think we make him proud with my mom, my son Mark, and my daughter, Daniela all carrying on his tradition here. Also a special note this Sunday, July 21st is my daughter, Daniela's Birthday. She will be 31. I can't believe it. She has been a God sent through all the health problems I have had. A phenomenal young woman and I love you very much Daniela. This week I am recognizing Advanced Window Tinting. Jay is a 2nd generation. His father tinted our windows some 30 years ago. and Jay has just redone our windows and they look amazing folks, He is a great young man working hard and is out there pushing. So give him a call at Advanced Window Tinting at 252-633-2228. Good man who will do a good job at a fair price. Also tomorrow across the street at Southern Sky Lodge at 4:00 until 6 Tom & Dahlin will be performing some Gospel and other music, with some dogs from Roadside Dogs - they will be celebrating the Nonprofit teams who paddle in the Oriental Dragon Boat Race coming up on August 10th. This is a chance for you to get to meet these teams who are raising funds for good causes in our community. Everyone is invited to come and bring a chair, sing a little with some great music, have some great food and have a great time with some dedicated nonprofit team members.
