We are a completely volunteer 501c3 corporation. The foundation has two main objectives. We provide college scholarships for the financilly challenged youth in our community. To date, we ha
ve awarded over 150 scholarships to Delta College, and hope to expand our program to four-year institutions. The second objective is to help the abused and neglected children in our community. The foundation funds The Nathan Weidner Children's Advocacy Center located at 715 N. The center aids approx. 200 abused children a year. The center is sadly needed to reduce the trauma thes children have to go through. We would stronly encouage your visitation of this state of the art facility. This event features a great family picnic atmosphere and culminates our fundraising efforts from several months before the event. We proudly acknowledge our corporate money donors and prize sponsors pror to, during, and after the event. We accomplish this through the generosity of our television, cable, radio, newspaper and magazine media friends who help us spread the information about our foundation. There are over 100 volunteers serving on committees, selling dinner and raffle tickets and assisting with the event!
